This is about being able drag in additional datasets specific for identifying assets that may be approaching their end of life to identify if any collaborations may exist for those assets eg watermains with a failure history. This would then allow an early conversation with the road owner or other utility allowing to delay their works to enable a collaboration.
The alternate is (via an MOU with other users) the ability to extract others data to enable analysis in an organisation's system or MapInfo.
Hi Stuart, thanks for sharing the idea. There are a couple of ways to achieve this with existing functionality. Option 1 is using a custom web map (article https://help.smarterwx.com.au/2017/06/how-to-integrate-arcgis-webmap-into-smarterwx/) to visualise the end-of-life assets in SmarterWX. Option 2 is by loading end-of-life assets as private projects. The advantage to this approach is they will trigger opportunity notifications to your organisation but won't be visible to other organisations. Private projects are a good option for loading projects that are not yet confirmed but would be economically viable if another entity is working in the same area.
