Ability to export SmarterWX geometry for opportunity analysis

Having access to geometry in our own GIS systems will enable proactive analysis of opportunities for integrated road opening works.

    Thanks Justin, agree that a live connection to a GIS is better than static data where currency can be compromised.

    It may be that at Sydney Water we need to talk to a GIS admin person about how to access the feature service you described. I imagine it is like a WMS service that we use for NearMap in our Mapinfo applications.
    Stuart, Not sure if this sort of link is possible in our Hydra or Spatial Hub. Might be a question for Craig Selby or Dino Scotter.

    Hi All, the feature service approach (above) is the recommended approach to access project geometry in your GIS system. If you have access to another organisation's projects in SmarterWX Collaborate, you can also view them via the feature service. For example, https://api.smarterwx.com.au/v1/geo/arcgis/rest/services/Jemena_Gas/FeatureServer is a feature service for accessing Jemena Gas data. At this stage we do not support exporting data from other organisations. Also, consider these projects may be updated by those organisations at any time so it's best to use the feature service method to ensure you are viewing current up-to-date information. Please let me know if the Export Data option is still preferred, and help me understand why you would prefer to export rather than consuming a feature service - thanks.

    The Export Data tool will only export data from your organisation. Projects and exclusion zones belonging to other organisations will not be included in your download. :(

    Hi Justin, Duncan is talking about extracting other user's data from SmarterWX into our our system eg downloading Jemena's data. This is currently not allowed and would require an MOU with interested parties.

    Hi Duncan, there is a feature service available to display project and opportunity geometry in external GIS applications. The feature service contains a set of layers including Projects, Exclusion Zones and Opportunities.
